Firmly established within the ATP Top 100 and financially independent, Lorenzo Musetti (Italy) left the foundation in early 2021. That same year, he recorded his first win against a Top 10 player, Diego Schwartzman (then ranked No. 9 in the world), and repeated the feat in 2022 against Félix Auger-Aliassime (also ranked No. 9).
In July 2022, he claimed his first ATP title at the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg, Germany. Since then, Musetti has continued his steady rise. In 2025, he reached the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000, the semifinals of the Madrid Masters 1000, and the semifinals at Roland-Garros, where he was forced to retire against Carlos Alcaraz. These standout performances showcased his consistency at the highest level and propelled him into the ATP Top 10, where he reached a career-high ranking of World No. 6.
